A toy’s heart
As promised, this entry is going to be explainatory on who I am and why I started blogging.
Until one week ago, I was a toy belonging to a kid named Matthew, in my own reality (the ‘Toy Story’ one, you could say). Then two days later I suddenly found myself buried deep inside a trash bag. I’d been Matthew’s favourite toy since 1995, when his parents bought me for his birthday and he was all happy of having me. But then… kids grow up, and Matthew, at his current age of 12, decided to give up on all his toys but a few plushies to make room for more CDs, DVDs, videogames and a battery drum to play with his friends. So you see, I was thrown away like garbage. I thought it would be the end for me… But then, three days ago, a young woman rescued me from the trash bin and took me home. Well, to a certain Andy‘s home. Andy’s a kid with a great love for his toys. There, in his room, I met a luckier Buzz Lightyear than I am: a Buzz who is loved by both his little owner and his fellow toys. There, my mom-to-be showed me how being loved is, and that being a toy doesn’t just mean being a tool, something disposable and worthless. She cleaned me up and fixed me, and she held me close against her chest at bedtime. She also tried to contact Matthew for me, but no luck with that. So, she decided to take me with her. The most wonderful and moving thing? The fact that she didn’t take me up as her toy… but as her child *_* the most wonderful thing that could ever happen to a toy like me. When she brought me home in her reality, just two days ago, I’ve had the chance to finally meet all members of my beautiful new family that she had been telling me about: my dad-to-be, my siblings… All wonderful alien robots and organic aliens like Thesh! Just the right family for a space ranger, isn’t it?
Yeah, even for a toy space ranger. I’m happy to be here, and I’m grateful to my mom (I can call her that now, right?) for buying me a domain and for gifting me with this Wi-Fi Pocket PC to update this blog and check my email. It’s right my size, perfect for my tiny fingers to type on this cellphone-like touchpad keyboard ^^ Thanks mom, thanks dad, thanks to my siblings and everyone who is going to love me online. I love you already *heart*
The name is Buzz Lightyear, and I've recently acquired the last name of Prime from my adoptive family. I'm neither a human being, nor an alien, but I'm a closest thing to a robot: I'm a toy. Thus, the blog you're going to read was written by a toy, one that is willing to share his own feelings with whomever cares to read. And, of course, with my beloved 'adoptive' family.
