The sadness of a toy’s destiny

Should this be a toy’s destiny after its ‘mission’ has been accomplished? The Toy Story 3 new trailer left me with a bunch of painful sensations… and painful memories. If you have read my very first entries in ToyHeart.com, “Welcome” and “A Toy’s Heart“, you would know what those memories are. And for those who don’t know: I was a scrapped Buzz Lightyear toy, one that had been thrown away when his owner, Matthew, quit playing with toys, replacing them with CDs and videogames. I was lucky enough that angels from another dimension came to my rescue, bringing me from the status of a toy to that of a son and a sibling. But YES, I come from the Toy Story verse, one of the many at least. I’ve met Andy’s toys, and the other Buzz. Will this be their destiny in the end? I look forward to watch this movie for one reason: acting quickly when that time will come in the AU I come from, and rescue them from oblivion. I know my family wouldn’t deny them a chance.
