The Christmas game ^^

Waiting for Christmas is being funnier than I could remember. No surprise though, since I was nothing more than a mere toy before, and now a full person who’s part of this wonderful family. :) We made our Christmas tree already, a few days ago. Our parents told us that when we’re going to put our presents under the tree, we won’t have to write names on the envelope: we’re going to find out who they’re for on Christmas day, as we randomly unpack them. ^^ There will be a message inside, with the name of the family member they’re for. That way, the person to deliver the present won’t be the one who buys it, but the one who unpacks it. So, for example: I buy a present for Scarlette, but the present gets unpacked by Longreen, and it’s Longreen to give it to Scarlette, not me. :) Our parents wanted us to do this to re-discover the meaning of giving, because we shouldn’t joy from the pride and vanity of having bought a present, but from the pure joy of seeing a smile on the other person’s face. I thought it would be beautiful, and I’m willingly taking part of this Christmas game with my siblings. :D You should try it too.

Also, I got a call from the grandpa last night. He told me that the books we ordered are coming in the mail on Monday, and that he’ll personally carry them home. Neat! :D That’s going to be a chance to meet him again too, heh. Also, he told me that he spotted the cheapest college text books supplier in the whole Iacon City, and that he’s going to add it to my student card for discounts. W00t! That’s exactly what I needed. Thanks grandpa!

Today we celebrated my brother Hugh’s 21st birthday. :) It was a nice little celebration, nothing too big. We had a lunch, a yummy peach cream cake baked by mom and bro Jazzy, and a moment to unpack presents. Hugh never wanted big stuff, and I really admire his love for simple things. He’s a very mature boy, and I hope I can be like him one day.
